[HERMOCRATES:] ...as the waters rose around their city, the kings of Atlantis, one after another, sought to hold off fate. Knowing mortal men would never rule the sea, they planned a huge colossus, which by use of orichalcum, ten beads at a time, would make them like the gods themselves. Nur-Ab-Sal was one such king. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well-aligned.
[SOCRATES:] This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.

This is my depiction of Nur-Ab-Sal, the Atlantean priest-king, and members of his priesthood, sacrificing slaves in his machine, located in the center of the Lost City, within a chamber at the base of the Colossus (no, the statue in this picture is NOT the Colossus, the whole scene is in a room at the base of it - the actual Colossus is the size of a skyscraper!). The machine was designed to transform humans into gods, but was first tested on the unworthy.
From the 1992 Lucasarts adventure game, "Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis."

Very nice rendition. You captured the spirit very well, and Nur ab Sal's character too. This place still gives me chills.

Cool picture. The storyline of the city prior to the game is fascinating and you've really captured that mystical, eerie feel. Great job! :)
